Grphics card update

I am thinking about updating the graphics card in my PC, just started getting back into PC gaming again.

The current card is in my signature, I've been looking at the Nvidia 1060 range of cards. The card I like the look of is the EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SC 6GB GDDR5 DVI-D HDMI 3x DisplayPort PCI-E Graphics Card.

Got a couple of questions

1. Would the card work with my PC, basic config in sig
2. Would this be a worthwhile upgrade from the existing card.
3. Any other recomendations to take a look at?

Thanks

the first thing i'd ask is. Do you really need to upgrade your GPU? are you unhappy with your pc's gaming performance? Does it struggle to play games at the settings you would like?

There isn't a huge difference between the 1060 and your current card. Unless you can upgrade to a 1070 or higher, I would save the money.

If it's a GTX 960 as per his sig the answer will probably be yes to all the above. A 1060 would be getting on for twice as powerful, assuming we're talking about gaming performance: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2016-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-review

Umm.. he has a GTX 960? Unless I'm missing something? Which is way, way less powerful than a 1060 3gb never mind 6gb:

Current card is a 4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 960.

Been happy with gaming performance so far, always looking to upgrade though. think I'll give it a go and see how it performs.
