H100v2 pump speeds

Hi i was wondering if someone can help me. i noticed my pump speed is only set at 900rpm on idle is this okay and my cpu temps at idle are around 40oC. with a i7-7700k

Those temps sound fine for an idle CPU. The cooler may try to minimise noise when idle.

I think you can adjust the profiles with the Corsair Link software if you prefer even lower temps to less noise.

Thanks alot for your reply when im in game is it normal for my pump to hit around 2700rpm to 2800rpm?

Again I expect it depends what profile you're using, but yes the pump can go that fast when the CPU is under load.

All perfectly normal. I have mine set in corsair link to silent for day to day and put it to performance when gaming.

Idle temps need some help please guys

I have a i7-7700k overclocked to 4.8ghz. and my temps are at 40oC on idle is this okay? and im using a h100i v2. And i keep on getting spike temps. thanks

I stand by what I said in the other topic - that this is fine for an idle CPU.

A spike in temps can be caused by a spike in usage. Opening a few browser tabs at once can be enough to rev my CPU fans up.

I think rather than be too concerned about small spikes, you may want to stress test your PC. Run something like 3dmark / firestrike and see what the temps are like.
