Hard drive prices falling?!?

I ordered a PC last week as didn't want to get caught by any further increases in hard drive prices, and looking at the configurator today it seems hard drive prices have fallen - 500GB Cavier Black seems to be down £10 and 1TB Caviar Black seems substantially lower

Was wondering if I can take advantage of these price falls as my PC is still only in pre-production?

And this is the identical spec I ordered last week, which was £762. Can only imagine the HDD has come down in price, as I'm pretty sure last week a 1TB caviar black pushed the price over £900, but today it's £816.

It must be another component, i am told that the HDD prices have not been put down and wont be, if anything they will go up as we have to buy in more stock at the inflated price.

Maybe I'm getting confused then and it is another component that's fallen in price, but I was p.d. sure that when I was speccing my PC with a 1TB Caviar Black the price shot up.

Anyway, I've amended my order to have a 1TB drive for only £59 more than the 500GB - more storage, bigger cache and as you say HD prices will only be going up
