HD PC / Gaming Monitor

So,

After receiving my new desktop and being happy with it, I'm now looking for a new HD monitor

I don't know much about refresh rate & contrast rates, which are the main things that have me confused.

I've narrowed it down to this mainly

well i baught my new monitor from PCS i got the Viewsonic 32" HD Monitor, as for RR i dont really know, but i can tell you this baby is huge and only cost £250 and my games are superb through it!! (by the way £250 includes the stand and massive speaker for the monitor)
