I have just received a new desktop today.

On trying to attach a standard HMDI cable a small protrusion above the port is preventing it from attaching properly.

Any suggestions?

Take a better photo and then contact PCS. If something is blocking the port then it's been assembled incorrectly.

Hopefully this image is a bit clearer.

The HDMI cable will go in but not fully engage due to the protrusion.

I see what you mean. Is it possible to carefully cut away that protruding piece of metal?

I would contact PCS, or just use display port or find a low profile HDMI cable.

which case did you order? Is it one of the cheaper ones?

Look's like a PCS 6003b case? If so this is not ideal but if you take the case side off and slacken the two black hex screws holding the GPU in and push the card down a tad and then tighten the screws back up. Please report back and let us know how you get on.
