Help build me a PC Please!

Hey guys, I'm looking to get a gaming desktop as I am tired of running games at like 5 fps on my laptop. I have to confess that I don't know a great deal about building desktops, but I do have a general idea about what is good and what isn't. I was kind of hoping some of you could help me out as you seem a lot more knowledgeable than me! I'm looking for something that is pretty much going to run any game on the highest settings possible with a steady fps. Games such as Rome Total War 2, Assassins Creed etc etc. I have a budget of around £1000, I can go slightly over and if I can get what I want for less then great! I don't need a monitor included in that price, that will be offset by the sale of my current laptop, but if anyone knows of a decent one for less than 200 then you can link that also. I would prefer sticking with an Intel Processor and Nvidea Graphics Card but if I can get better performance out of something else for a similar price then that is fine.

Thank you, That looks good for the price. If I could find an extra 100 quid or so to give me a budget of around £1100, what would I be best changing in that set up?

You could try to get an SSD. I know you wish to have an nvidia gpu but you could consider the vanquish 230x in the review section for £999 which offers a similar spec with an SSD, 16gb ram and over clocked i5 for a discounted price but with an amd CPU r9-280x which is as good if not better gaming wise than the gtx 770.

I would stick with the GTX 770 as opposed to the R9 280X,I have the R9 280X and it is a good card but runs a bit too hot on demanding games for my liking and the GTX 770 is a better card according to this chart,

For gaming the graphics card is the most important component,so if you want to spend around £1100,I would change the GTX 770 to the GTX 780 on the above spec, which comes to about £1,119.
