Help buying a gaming PC

Hi, I'm going to buy a desktop gaming PC and wanted it to have the new geforce gtx 1080 graphics card and was wondering what other components would be best as I don't know much about PCs. My budget is about £2000 but I don't mind going over. Also, is it worth waiting for the 1090 or newer graphics cards or will they be about the same? I'd like to get the pc within the next month. Thanks for any replies.

What resolution will you be gaming at and do you need things like a monitor, keyboard, or any other accessories?

Havent really thought about the resolution, 1080p minimum I guess. Yeah I will be needing a monitor and keyboard but by components I meant like motherboard and hard drive. Thanks

I figured you meant that by components, was just wondering if room needed to be left in the budget for the monitor, keyboard and all that jazz. :)

Perhaps the below is a good place to start?
It leaves plenty of room for 1440p IPS monitor, plus a decent keyboard, and still be within £2k.
If you decide you want to push the boat out, you could consider a 1080 and a 4k screen. Or two 1070s in SLI.

I don't think we know much about the '1080 ti' or whatever Nvidia next high end move is, not even really in rumours. I imagine they're keeping that close to their chest to combat anything nice AMD come out with when Vega comes out (maybe in October, maybe early 2017).

It is often current practice to have one SSD for things that need fast booting such as the OS and games with lots of large loading sections. The second, cheaper, bigger drive for general storage.
