Hi,

To take a screen shot, there should be a button called 'Print Scr' or 'Prnt Scrn' on your keyboard. Sometimes the button is a dedicated button, other times it requires you to push the 'Fn' key. As it's a laptop you would probably have to push the button to the right of the Ctrl key labelled 'Fn' and then push the 'Print Screen' button at the same time. Usually the keys are colour coded to help.

Once you have pushed this, the screenshot should be copied to your clipboard. You can then paste this into MS Paint and print it from there (Ctrl+v). Or you can paste into a word document and print from there.

Thanks Nathan. Yup got the Fn & Prt Sc buttons (in blue), but I have no idea where "clipboard" hides. As I said idiot outside :wacko:Regards.

The 'clipboard' is just where the content you have copied is held in the laptops memory - you can't actually see it, or physically get to it, but you can copy what has been put in it (if that makes sense)
Once something is copied into the clipboard you need to open whatever you want to copy it into (MSPaint or word like Nathan suggested), and either right click in paint/word and select 'paste' from the menu that appears or hold down both the 'ctrl' key and 'V' key at the same time to copy over what has been stored in the clipboard.
Hope that makes sense.

Hehe, do not worry, you haven't annoyed anyone, asking questions is the only way to learn and you asked with politeness so it's all good :)
