I would like to ask u guys for some help, im getting confused about processors as others as well, the main point is

What i would like to use my pc is gaming but more like MMORPG example Lineage2
or older games like Counter/Strike 1.6 which is i dont think really need a monster pc.
My budget is around 700/1000 the question is i made a nice gaming pc for like 1200 but i think i wouldnt use that monster because i know myself, and i dont think i will play with the newest games.
What would u recommend for me?
Is it worth to wait a bit and buy the 1200 one, thinking about time as well, i mean is going to be good in the few years, or should i stay with a mid gaming pc cuz of my games?
Getting totally confused about proc as well, amd or intel? intel i7 is a monster thats true, but would it make that big diff with my games against a phenom, or bulldozer ( 6,8 core)?
About graphics card i would like to go with the Geforce GTX 560 TI 448 card, sounds really good:)
If u could give some advice i would be really happy:)

I'd go for madman's spec dude,

the i52500 is very similar to the i72600, the 2600 uses hyper threading tech, whereas the 2500 doesn't, however, hyper threading does little for gaming, so the only difference from a gaming perspective would be slightly faster cpu. The k variants are for overclocking, so i'd avoid that and go for the standard 2500, there's no difference in performance without the K.

Ofcourse I'd keep you monitor choice. nice screens :)

i'd also opt for the coolermaster cm690 II case, offers very good cooling and cable management, with options for customisation better than the t900.

There is also little need for the liquid cooling, again mainly for high end or overclocking systems, you would be perfect to go for the tripple copper cooler,

Hm you are saying something, my point is about the i7 processors is that if i spend that amount of money i would like to get some confidence about for like 2/3 years if u know what i mean, but i understand the k no point to get k, so i think i will change it to i7 3.4, and for the tripple copper, and the case, thx a lot for the help:)

both the i5 2500 and the i72600 are very good cpu's, in but gaming i believe they are very similar in performance. I went for the 2600 and its very good,

there is actually more difference than what most people say on here, it has a slightly higher clock speed and also has a larger cache, which is a large factor of performance these days, some games such as FSX and football manager can take control of hyperthreading and despite not needing to, the latest games have improved compatibility for hyperthreading seeing as a majority of intel processors now use it, including the dual core i3's, their performance has been boosted massively on newer games as they can be used almost like a quad core
