Help needed for a designers PC.....

Dear all,

I need help in figuring out what sort of PC I need to easily work several drawing packages at once.
The packages I use are Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Rhino3D, Sketch-up and many more....

And at the minute, I am currently using a laptop, and it has no problem dealing with one programe
at a time, but anything more than that and it sh**s itself.

So If anyone can help me with regards to specs or products. Also seen some really good gamer/multi-media
systems, but dont no if these would be any use for what I would need.

Hi Monty, I normally run Blender, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Zbrush, sometimes most of them at the same time and my machine handles them easily (unless you are rendering in a particle software package at the same time). Just make sure you go for 64bit and get plenty of ram if you want to run them at the same time.

Here's my spec, it's a bit outdated now as I ordered mine in Jan this year. I've just ordered another GTX470 for rendering in Octane and plan on another 12gb ram sometime.
