Help pc will not play music form phone via Bluetooth

Hello I am trying to play music from my iphone 5 through windows 7 pc via the pcs built in Bluetooth and read on google how to do it and everyone says it's simple as pairing it up and clicking play ..... Is it hell it worked once don't ask me how it just did, but now nothing I connect up press play and zilch I removed it and re done it, I did a recover, installed up to date drivers and still nothing anyone know what's happening?
The phone is a iphone 5
The laptop is a dell Inspiron n5110 running win7

Like I said it worked once or twice with a box that looked media player styled on the pc screen

Any help would be great

Its fine to give advice on technical support just not commenting on competitor products/services or self builds. So if anyone can help Bernard then jump in. I have never tried anything like this so I'm stumped.

Is the pc retaining the connection? Ie when it stops working, if you look on paired devices in windows is your iPhone still listed?

There have been a lot of bluetooth related issues in ios 7.1, I would suggest it's more likely to be an issue with the iPhone rather than pc... Check this thread:
