help please with htpc specs

Hi all,
I'm not too up on current pc tech so would apreciate any help available with spec for htpc
my requirements are hdd around 4tb - I have a lot of ripped movies and music files,
light gaming, and possibly some music editing/recording - (guitar tracks through software called guitar rig - I have an external asio sound card which is perfect for this)
and usual pc stuff - internet, docs etc. I have a budget of around £700 - £800
I will be using 50 inch samsung plasma as a monitor and for sound I have a 5/7.1 av receiver.

would it not be cheaper for him just to have 1x4TB HDD in stead of 2x2TB HDD's? It still fits his spec.

I would but apprently the a 4TB drive isnt stocked by PCS, ive only remeber seeing a 3TB max on the caviar green but they are out of stock right now im guessing since its not on the config. Plus it be nicer to even the drives out than having a whole when it comes to internal drives.
