Help with a gaming system

Hi all, I am fairly new to PC customization so although this site is really helpful when trying to put together a system.
I really don't know what everything is and how well it works together.
What I am looking for is a system that can run the latest games on the highest settings with ease, also I may use the pc for video recording/editing, as well as your normal stuff.
So yes I want this pc to be all about gaming quality and something that will last a good few years at least.
I want it to have good sound/graphics and high internet speed.
I have a budget of approximately £2000 give or take a few hundred.
If someone could put together a great system for me and explain to me a few basics of pc modding that would be awesome.

Given the budget and possible uses I'd probably go for 16GB of RAM, but otherwise Keynes spec looks good.
