Hi,

Looking at upgrading my ram and need some advice please.

This is my mb http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P6T_Deluxe_V2/ and these are the compatible ram options: Triple-channel DDR3 2000(O.C.) / 1866(O.C.) / 1800(O.C.) / 1600(O.C.) / 1333 / 1066 Memory.

I am currently running Corsair Vengence 2 x 4GB chips 1600Mhz. Corsair offer 1600Mhz, 1866Mhz, 2133Mhz, 2400Mhz. Am I maxxed out at 1866Mhz or can I go higher?

This is currently what I am looking at fitting: http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/vengeance-16gb-quad-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz16gx3m4x1866c9

Thanks

Anything over 1333Mhz would need an overclock to achieve is what the motherboard manual is saying.

if you are currently running 1600Mhz RAM then it would be wise to buy 1600Mhz RAM to add to your existing sticks, otherwise the faster RAM will automatically be downclocked to match the 1600Mhz stuff.

Anything faster than 1333Mhz seems to have very limited benefits. Certainly over 1600Mhz is not needed for 99.9% of people. So i'd grab the 1600Mhz kit if the vengeance and it will run just fine.
