Very similar to the build I ordered so I would vouch for it - Prices and component availability may have changed in a months time but otherwise looks good

At 1080p, that graphics card is a total waste, a much cheaper card would still max your fps on ultra settings. Better to use some of the budget to get a better screen, it will make much more of a difference to your gaming experience. What sort of games to you play?

In addition, I'm not sure you need that motherboard (correct me if I'm wrong, does it have a feature you need?), the paste on the Corsair coolers is great, I'd stick with that. I'd always go for the extra quiet fans too. I upped the PUS to a better quality one that will run quieter and give you headroom for the future, if you want to upgrade GPU etc. The 2060 Super I picked is still overkill for 1080p and would do you well if you moved up to 1440p/144Hz (which you could certainly do with the spare cash you'll have - the below build saves you £800)

Thank you for the help, I seem to have my monitor incorrect I use an Asus ROG swift PG278QR, not sure if that makes a difference but I thought having an 11GB card would be better for future proofing and increasing FPS with higher settings?

Its for games that are coming out over the next few years, like borderlands 3 and Cyberpunk etc

Ah, so you are gaming at 1440p, 144 Hz?

That does make a difference, though not a great one - the 2060 super would still be fine and the next rung up the ladder (the 2070 super) comes with a hefty £160 price increase. I think that's seen as more of an entry card for 4K gaming but if you were determined to turn every knob up to 11 on your graphics settings, it is worth a look (certainly still well within your budget).

Obviously, if you want to push high settings on games that are not out yet (I can't wait for Cyberpunk myself, either!) there is a bit of guesswork involved.

Really though, getting an overpowered GPU isn't a great way to futureproof. New GPUs come out fairly often, making the older ones cheaper or, more likely, replacing the price point with a better option. If I were you I'd buy a card for my needs NOW - by the time you are starting to struggle there will be newer, better options available for you to upgrade to. Better ways to future proof are in getting a great PSU, case and so on, as they'll be what you slot the next few GPUs into and GPUs are very easy to fit - much easier than a new PSU!

May main feedback would be:

1) Don't even start planning the spec yet. We don't know what prices, availability and new hardware will be in September

2) Don't decide a graphics card based on the "GB". It's just not really relevant to performance most of the time. There are arguments for a 2080 Super or 2080 ti at 1440p, but that needs to be weighed up. Overspending to try to 'futureproof' as above is futile.

3) buying the most expensive mobo on offer just because is no more useful than setting fire to your money, and less entertaining. Buy the mobo based on features and need, not just £ = better

I really recommend waiting to see what September brings. Maybe the mythical 2080 ti Super will be out and the price of the 2080 ti will be better? Who knows...

Great feedback, thank you both.
Which mobo would you recommend purely for gaming that comes with a decent on board sound card? i'm more than likely going to some new Logitech G560 speakers

As above, no point planning yet as which mobo is the best pick depends on the spec, the pricing, etc.

For the moment the Z390-F and AORUS Pro are fairly evenly matched on the Intel side. On the AMD side the X570-PLUS. All sporting relatively upmarket onboard sound.

But no point me saying to pick the Z390-F if by the time you buy the AORUS Pro is £50 cheaper. Or an AMD build turns out to make more sense.

Thank you for the help, I really appreciate the advice.
I will hold off until after my trip to finalise my build, but I will still log on every day to drool over what maybe my new machine lol
So far im going with ASUS® ROG STRIX Z390-F with 8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2080 SUPER, is there much difference between that card and 8GB ASUS ROG STRIX GEFORCE RTX 2080 SUPER? Except the price tag, I can't seem to find much information or compare the two.

There's very little difference in performance. The main difference is you get to pay what's known as the Asus Tax, and get ripped off.
