Hey guys, Ok lets get to it!
I've been on this site for a few month now doing a ton of research!
But am still unsure on what i really want so am going to need you guys THE PRO'S to help me build a top spec, I've been hesitating for a while now because its actually quite a sum of money but am ready!

My budget goes from 1500-2000 maximum
Also i will want the Fast track 3 days and Silver warranty
I MUST also have the GTX 580 graphics card

This computer will be used intensively, A lot of gaming (Been playing low settings game since i GOT into gaming due to my weak PC so its about time to step it up to the High/Ultra settings), Microsoft Office, Watching Videos so i also expect good Cpu cooling
Am not really into Overclocking at all but it is something that i may do down the line so the K version of Sandy bridge will be cool

So i will be Upgrading from:
Window XP 32 Bit Home Premium
AMD phenom (tm) 9750 quad core 2.4GHZ
4GB DDR2 ram
ATI HD RADEON 2400 Graphics Card

To
....................
Need you guys to help me build a top spec

thanks!

I'd wait for Meds to post here, he's the budget master !

But I'd say an intel I5 2600 maybe k version, future ovverclocking to keep the system fresh. I would look at checking about sli for the future, which means also a decent psu. Maybe a SSD boot disc, and a caviar black 1TB 2nd drive.

But you really do have a healthy budget ! You'll be getting a machine that will really max games for a long time to come.

Enjoy.

Haha Roobarb, I've been doing a little side savings from here and there. Ever since i've started gaming on PC i have always been playing games on Low resolution, lowest settings, Terrible frame rates but its finally time haha

Order are going to be made as soon as the new motherboards stocks are in

I didn't need to save. I used the wifes quarterly bonus for my baby. Now in building. 990x overclocked @4.2.

I'm sure 4.2 is almost underclocking the 990 ;)

Either way, not had a pc since mid/end of November. So can't wait.

Meds will no doubt answer when he logs on at work. He'll give you a
Good spec b

Hahah - love it!

I've looked through the spec LFFPicard put together and there's not much worth changing. You can't go far wrong when you've got a £1500 - £2000 budget, I like more of a challenge :D

- Some would say 16GB is overkill and you'd be fine with 8GB RAM, but if you can afford - why the hell not?
- CPU/Mobo/GPU combo is perfect (make sure you order the P8P67 Pro motherboard for SLi)
- HDDs, PSU are good - PSU will help when adding another GTX580
- Cooling - perfect.
- Soundcard, again you don't need one, ive never had one but again, you're well under budget so why not?
- You even have the Silver Warranty!

The only thing I'd pick up on is the case. The Antec case is a popular choice but to be honest, they are quite cramped inside with very little space to tidy cables away. If you stick another GTX580 into it then there will be little or no space for anything else :)

I'd rather see you get the CM690, HAF-X or the Corsair 600T.

Lol. The Haf-X will ease with cramping components for sure. And will also help keep your graphics cards cool with it's side fan.

Plus it's just plainly massive and makes your rig look even more impressive.

What do you guys think about this build?
(The motherboard will be a Pro) Will you guys be stocking the Sabertooth motherboard when stocks are in? If so how much better are they?
Thanks Roobarb, meds, LFFPICARD for helping me out.

I recommend having the system overclocked here: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/computers/intel-1155-overclocked/ or saving the money and get the regular i7-2600, normal RAM and the standard or triple heatpipe cooler. If you do decide to have it overclocked make sure you add the arctic thermal paste. It's much better to have it overclocked by people who know what they're doing so you don't kill the chip.

I completely agree with you on that Phoenix but Overclocked configurator is not on fast track and i need this computer fast track =P I can't be waiting for 3 week + lool

Killzone,

I ordered my overclocked 990 15th feb. Still waiting for it. But if your spending your budget on a PC best wait. I had to learn to wait, and I've not had a machine since mid/end of nov.

End of the day, if you don't get exactly what you want, you'll kick yourself for not waiting a couple of days.
