Ok - I've asked a lot of questions and started a few threads... but here goes. I think a decision has been made. The missus is getting too angry at the time I'm spending on this site anyway!

I lie, I went for the i7-2630QM for another £10. Not really sure why - all confused and couldn't be bothered to analyse any further so just hit the proceed button!

probably not nearly as much as I could do. Mainly interweb surfing, simply spreadsheet/word document stuff. I probably will end up getting a few games to test out how far things have come since I last played computer games (about 10 years ago) on anything other than my ps3!

Most of the sport I watch streaming on the internet and other movie downloads too. Key reason for getting a new windows machine is to run a full currency trading platform (MT4) which are an arse to work on a mac (I know I know).

Difficulty is - whether you need it or not, it is difficult not to keep upgrading to the better options!
