To output 1080p over HDMI or wifi, play old games/indie titles, pagefile disabled. Cheap as possible without dropping spec for the sake of a few quid.

If your sure integrated graphics are up to the job then fair enough. The CPU can be dropped down to the basic i5, or even i3 depending on the exact nature of your usage. The i5 is approx. 25% faster than the i3 so not huge and worth cutting back on if you would rather save cash.

The only other point would be to upgrade the thermal compound. It really helps with temps, laptops need all the help they can get.

I went for that processor as the speed gains were moderately priced with each successive uppgrade to that point. The next highest CPU is a big jump in price tho. And the intergrated gaphics will be running off the cpu. Thanks for the tip about the thermal compound.

Dropping back to the basic i3 saves you £55 and you assumption that a faster CPU somehow helps the onboard graphics is slightly misguided. While the i5 is marginally quicker in the GPU department than the i3 it amounts to some 10%. That's because the integrated graphics are separate from the CPU cores, the i5's GPU being clocked marginally higher than the i3's. Which really isn't worth the £55 in my opinion. if your going for as cheap as possible then the i3 is the way forward, I cant see you noticing the slightly slower clock speed on the CPU or GPU in all honesty.

nope, they are both 22nm chips as far as I know. They are both in the same generation of chips so they use the same process. The i5's have a higher clock speed and turbo, the i3's don't have turbo. Turbo mode kicks in when you are below thermal/power limits to increase performance in single threaded applications. I'm saying go i3 due to your want for as cheap as possible to get the job done, if you would rather have a small increase in GPU power and the facility for turbo boost at a small cost then the i5 is you processor for you.
