How am I doing?

I'm looking for a new tower, in anticipation of an upgrade to Windows 11. I got my last PC from PCS and it's worked flawlessly for 7 years (Skylake processor). But I'm ready to move on, especially since I want to donate this one.
It's been a while. The following things are most important to me. This will be a productivity machine, rather than a gaming one, though a bit of light gaming would be nice. It needs to be quiet and fast. I usually have a lot of programs open at the same time, with a bunch of tabs on the tabbable ones. This includes a couple of graphics programs, PaintShopPro, maybe The Gimp and usually ON1 or something of that nature.
I have a 28 inch 4k Samsung monitor which my current pc doesn't handle well - I'm currently running it at 30 hertz, which is pretty nasty.
So - is this a good idea? My budget is a max of £2,500, but this build comes well under that.

I'll just offer up a build at the top end of the budget with notes on benefits:

Case
CORSAIR 5000D AIRFLOW TEMPERED GLASS GAMING CASE Far superior case which will improve quiet operation, the 175 isn't great at thermals

Motherboard

GIGABYTE X670 GAMING X AX : ATX (WIFI 6E, USB 3.2 Gen 1, PCIe 5.0) - ARGB Ready! Budget X670 board but solid performer. Also allows for CPU upgrade in the future if you wish.

thank you so much! That sounds really great. I'll take a closer look.
A Gigabyte motherboard rather than an Asus one?

I think this is the way to go but - is there a better motherboard? If I try to configure it myself, I can't select the Corsair case, it's not on the list.

Looks like the case may have sold out unfortunately which is why it's no longer showing.

But if you click the link at the bottom it will configure everything but the case.

The Hyte Y40 is a good alternative
