How to Boot From USB?

I have taken delivery of my new PCSpecialist desktop PC, very pleased with performance. I was keen to work out how to boot from a USB drive, as I would rather find out now, than when Windows won't load.

I have an ASUS Prime B350M-A motherboard. By pressing DEL I can get to the BIOS settings but can't find any option to boot from USB or even the DVD drive.

I only have two options (see screenshots)

Can anyone help?

You will need to have a bootable USB in the drive before you enter the BIOS setup. The BIOS will scan available boot devices as part of POST and list them where you're looking.

You can easily make a bootable USB drive containing the latest Windows version (on another PC) by downloading the Windows Media Creation Tool from here and running that with your USB drive plugged in. Note that you need at least an 8GB USB drive.

Thanks, I have made a Windows Recovery Drive, and I thought I had tried what you suggested. I will try again and report back.

Just tried it and it was showing this time. Pretty sure I tried it last time, but maybe the drive wasn't fully inserted. In any case all sorted now, thanks
