How to remove primary HDD on old Vortex (P150SM-A)

Hi all,

This is a very stupid question but I somehow cannot manage to remove the primary HDD on this 7yo laptop.
I removed the battery and the cover giving me access to the disk, but afterwards I'm just not able to remove the disk assembly itself, and I don't want to use too much force.
I am following https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1110779/Clevo-P150sm-A.html?page=16#manual but step 4 only says to "slide it", as if there shouldn't be too much resistance. How am I supposed to slide it out exactly? I tried pulling or nudging it left and right but it's just sitting tight in place. And it doesn't look like there are additional screws to remove?

I've done several replacements on other laptops and this is the first time I'm stuck at _this_ stage. Any suggestions?

Hiya, is this a pcspecialist laptop? Could you post your full specs from the order page?

So once you've got the cover off, it literally just slides out towards you, it's directly connected on the SATA ports, won't wiggle left or right, it's plugged straight into the ports.

So lift it gently at the end closest to you, and then pull gently towards you.

Thanks a lot for the help!
Yeah, the missing step was that I had to lift that disk (in fact more than 'slightly') until it disconnects itself. Otherwise it cannot slide/move at all.
Interestingly, the new disk can be removed just by sliding it out, no need to lift it up. (y)
