How to upgrade existing desktop.

Hi there,

I have a desktop I ordered roughly 3-3.5 years ago. What do you use the PC for besides gaming? If you don't really do things like video editing, or other demanding non-game uses, there'd not be much point upgrading the CPU.

If you want the PC to perform and feel faster, then an SSD would be the first thing on your shopping list, e.g. an 860 Evo of 250gb or 500gb.

You could also buy a new, higher resolution and/or refresh rate monitor, and a new graphics card to power it for a higher definition / smoother / more fluid gaming experience.

But if it's just for gaming, upgrading the RAM and CPU would give little benefit in almost all cases versus a new GPU and monitor combo.
