I am new to all this PC stuff and I have a few questions about it.

The budget is around 2.5k or 3k pounds.
I have dual monitor two 144hz 1ms aoc c24g1 something like that. I will be upgrading 1 monitor eventually
Is the 2.5-3K budget for the PC alone? If so you could comfortably get a much better PC and a 1440p 144hz monitor to go with it and still not reach that minimum budget number.

Ideally you'd want some of these parts for the editing and content creation but a scale back of the GPU and some other parts could save you a lot if you'd rather keep your current monitors.

Agreed, this system would come in comfortably under budget, leave you money for a new monitor and would give you god-tier 1440p gaming.

I spec'd this then came back and it was all moved/merged...

£2.5K to 3K budget still means more than enough to buy a suitable monitor, 1440p monitor as well, Samsung G5 gets lots of mentions here and is about £300.

I meant to say that the 3k budget is for the whole set up.

As of right now, with pricing the way it is... i can’t advise a 3070, so my take is...

I agree with Ash. The price difference between a 6700XT and 3070 is close to £200 (at least for me when I amend my order). Yes the 3070 is a better card and if you want to enable DLSS in certain titles and enable Ray tracing then yes the 3070 would probably be worth it, but if you don't care for those features then the 6700XT for me is the smarter choice. It's a very capable card for 1080/2k gaming.

I have never even used ray tracing personally, but benchmarks i am seeing of 3070 vs 6700... if i were to choose now, i’d take the AMD and £200 saving. When they cost the same, i’d probably lean Nvidia.

Yes for the same price the 3070 I'd take everytime. The difference between the 3060 ti and 3700xt is closer but still the 3700xt is £55 cheaper (oddly all the major review sites says one big disadvantage of the 6700xt is it's overpriced and costs more than the 3060 ti but on PCS, its cheaper.)

I’ve purchased one for a family members build and it was cheaper than a 3060ti. I’m sure the 6800 is cheaper than the 3070 in some retailers - where as it should be £100 more expensive.

Okay, that makes more sense. What's included in the 'whole setup'? just PC and monitors? Or do you need keyboard, mouse, headset? Anything else, desk, chair? 😂
I have got all my peripherals and desk and chairs already but if you could recommend a good quality gaming chair under £200 that would be nice!

That's a great system to be honest. Nvidia seems to just play better with some of the more popular games at the moment but mainly only if you want RT on. DLSS is good but it can make things look like crap too if you rely on it too much.

I have a 5800x 3070 build and it will do any game out there at 1440p. I personally would take or leave RT at the moment.

Is there any gaming chairs you would recommend for the cheapest price and is the PC okay?
Any chair classed as "gaming" you should avoid. They are not quality chairs. You're better off picking a good office chair. Check reviews online and watch some YouTube videos. Gamers Nexus did a video recently on chairs. Maybe someone on here can give recommendations.

Definitely agree with this. Having the wrong chair can really do damage, I need to change mine as its really making my sciatica worse. Almost all the "gamer chairs" out there are the same design from the same factory and are really uncomfortable long term. Some of the ones that Gamers Nexus were looking at though were eye wateringly expensive.

Its just kinda pointless... and more clutter than anything else.
Not only that, you want to be careful about what addon stuff you take from Nvidia, the audio drivers it packages in as default are getting reports of being buggy.

Plus its version of what "optimal" is, isnt always optimal... ive found manually setting my video preferences in games can give me the same quality image but higher framerates...which is half the reason it exists, to try squeeze performance out of your settings.
