Please see above specification. The only change to the above specification is that I obtained a 3080TI instead of the 3080.

Despite hitting F2 and or/ Delete after rebooting I am unbale to get into the bios.

I am connected via the GPU using DisplayPort

I am using an

27" 27GN950-B in 4k

The monitor does not detect any signal. All I get is a blank screen, and the monitor states no signal.

If I just boot up the machine, its fine, its just goes into Windows 10.

Could someone help please?

I have not changed any settings, just want to have a look at the bios settings in case I ever need to re-install windows or change settings for Windows 11 (when this is released later this year).

Appreciate your advise

On windows 10 you access BIOS through the OS:

Hello Spydertracks

I have also tried this I am still getting a blank screen once the PC reboots
Hmmmm, very unusual, I'm glad you found this out now rather than down the line as you're going to be needing it fairly often, especially as you say with Windows 11 coming next month.

Just to test, can you try connecting the display via HDMI instead?

UEFI BIOS output apparently requires a resolution handshake between the GPU of 1280 x 768 which is fairly low according to an Asus staff member raja@asus in this thread: https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr...een-just-get-blank-screen.381425/post-9934922

Apparently, according to a post on reddit, this is a common issue with this monitor:

I was going to say it'll likely be a resolution issue. I've actually had this problem in the past where the TV I had the PC plugged into couldn't display it in BIOS mode.

Does HDMI fix the problem?

Hello All,

Thanks very much for the feedback.

I managed to get into the bios with using HDMI. I had to turn off the pc and and monitor, by unplugging both, then restarted both using HDMI, and I had the bios on screen.

I managed to change the TPM setting ready for windows 11 (when it is released)

The only thing is...when connecting back using DisplayPort, I cannot go into the bios, I would have to keep switching back to HDMI and repeating the process every time I need to go into the bios....

Any suggestions??

None unfortunately. It's a limitation with DP and the monitor. That's what the links posted above suggest at least, it's a known shortcoming.

Youd need to raise it with LG, they may have a firmware update already, if not theyd need to make on I think

Understood, Thanks all for your support

I guess if I need to reinstall windows, or install windows 11 via USB I may need to change the boot priority using HDMI and by using the method I described above? via HDMI until a fix is given by LG
