Im building my first custom gaming pc and im really unsure on the parts to choose. I will be gaming on 1440p at 144hz. I play a variety of games but I will be working full time from the pc running the usual microsoft applications. If anyone can check the components and see if you can identify any potential problems with the set up.

Im hoping the lack of comments suggest that the build is ok. :) the last thing I want is to get the wrong parts.

thankyou for the reply, any help is much appreciated. My maximum budget is £1700. I chose a mini pc because i just prefer the look however if I can see considerably better performance for the same price I would consider a tower. If possible could you recommend changes to this mini pc and in addition how you would spec a tower pc at a similar price. Thankyou

thankyou, I will upgrade the PSU no problem. I actually bought another 1tb 970 evo plus on a black friday deal which I will put into the case myself when ive received it.

What kind of temps would I be looking at in the mini-pc as a rough guideline? would they be acceptable?

in additon, why cant i spec 3600mhz ram in a mini pc but I can in a tower.

Okay, that sounds perfect. I put the extra cpu cooler because im worried about the heat. Would the Ryzen 5 3600 be too weak for this build? I have a friend looking at the same build as me but with the 3600 instead. Ive seen it recommended as a budget cpu for the 3070.
