Hey guys,

I live in Poland and I saved money for 2 years to finally get myself a dream PC which cost me 2800 euros. It came faulty. It was beeping like crazy and had some scratches as well. I followed their instructions for the return so I can get my money back and everything seemed alright until UPS called and told me the package is stuck in customs. I contacted PC Specialist to ask what's up and they said not to worry because they will solve the problem. It's been more than 2 weeks and yesterday I found out they have never contacted UPS. According to UPS, my options are either to wait 2 more weeks and hope they will solve the problem if not they will just send me back the broken faulty PC. So basically, there's nothing I can do to return the PC and get my money back. Did anyone experience anything like this? I would even consider traveling to the UK to submit the complaint. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm attaching a screenshot so you can see the order is real in case someone is thinking I'm trying to destroy their reputation for whatever reason

Have you contacted PCS about it? They're not scamming you in any way, there will be a reason it's held up. Just send them a note and query if they've managed to contact UPS.

PCS are a very reputable company with a long term proven track record and extremely high feedback rating.

I contacted them. They keep saying they got in touch with UPS and UPS keeps saying they didn't. I see no reason for UPS to lie while PCS will get my money for a broken faulty PC. This is the logic that makes sense to me

UPS are quite notorious I'm afraid, just look at their feedback

I still see no interest in UPS lying about this. They said they can send me back the broken PC tomorrow if I want.
Thank you for your feedback though. I will post on reddit maybe someone will eventually help me report them to the right authorities.

Oh dear, you didn't actually read those reviews did you, it's really difficult to give any kind of advice if people don't read the links provided.

As is being suggested, approach from a different angle and remain open minded.

Did you give PCS a call to discuss it or was it via Email? Just thinking that emails can sometimes be viewed singular, without the holistic view of what's gone on previously. If you give them a call you can explain the amount of time that's gone past.

With regards to the shipment, did PCS arrange the shipment or was it yourself? The reason I ask is that the status is showing awaiting collection, which would be strange if they arranged the shipment. If they didn't arrange it, was there any reason for this?

There are 1000s of orders going through so sometimes real issues can be lost in the noise. Just remain calm and give them a call, it'll be sorted out, don't worry :)

Just to give you all an update on this. In regards to the shipment, yes, it was arranged by PCS. I did call PCS and we had countless live chats.
Today UPS called me and said they will return the package back to me because PCS failed to take any action. As you can see, PCS is just doing its best to force me not to return the faulty broken PC back. It makes sense, no? it makes sense, why give the money back if you have the option to keep the money in exchange for a broken PC

From experience this is just something they don't do, they sell hundreds of PC's a week and it's an awful situations to be in for you but as long as you keep it documented and keep PCS in the loop you should be able to return it in spite of UPS being useless

That's not true and please don't make unfounded accusations, if you took the time to read the links provided you'll see this is pretty run of the mill for UPS.

I did not post here to defend UPS. Tomorrow at 12 pm I will receive back the broken PC. what should I do with it? sell it for parts and cut my losses? All PCS is saying they are investigating but im the one without a working pc for a month and 2 weeks.

No, you simply remain calm... try to instil some patience and let PCS know that UPS have returned the PC to you as they have stated they didn't her from PCS. PCS will then re-arrange the collection.

IMO there's some sort of mixup in the shipping transaction as your account should show collected as soon as UPS have collected it. As has been stated, UPS can be an absolute nightmare with stuff like this and they have been known to point the finger. You're simply taking UPS word for what is happening and immediately accusing PCS, there are 2 sides to every story so try and keep an open mind.

We are telling you categorically that you will receive a refund without any issues. PCS are a huge company and the value of your PC is nothing to them on the grand scheme of things. They would much rather cover the costs of any issue than have a genuine negative blemish so don't worry about it. I know it's hard when you're down on your investment, but at least try to take on board what we are saying.

for you PCS fanboys here, just so you know, they finally admitted it's their fault that they were supposed to fill some document. They even apologized to my shock. Such clowns and their clownish behavior don't stop here. It turns out, they were supposed to send me some documents to fill out as well. They found out about this literally after 3 weeks - and you know what the funniest part? They have no idea how I am supposed to fill that document. It's full of customs slang. I'm attaching the documents here, maybe someone knows how to fill these because the clowns working for PCS have no idea although they have a special department in charge of "customs".

"The PC Specialist Ltd annual revenue was $43 million in 2021." - 43 million and forcing their customers to research how to fill out customs documents for returns. unreal.

Calling on @moosEh @eojeel @Monarch or any other admins, this doesn’t sound right to me. But without their side of the story we have no balanced viewpoint.

I have no idea what pointing out their revenue has to do with anyone. I understand you’re angry, but I’m issuing a warning as you’re unfairly bashing PCS, this is not a rational way to get your needs met.

I worked in international shipping mate and I'm without blowing smoke up my own ass an expert in it. This is a export confirmation (C88 export declaration) similar to a customs clearance form, if you fill this out you're basically claiming the shipment as yours and UPS will bill for all related customs charges including any applicable duty and VAT for the shipment itself when it reenters Poland or is returned after repair/replacement. This isn't from PCS this is UPS trying to get paid, they will bill you admin charges for processing this

Get onto PCS again this shouldn't be on you at all, this is UPS trying to do their own thing as they always do and just applying responsibility to the shipment so they have someone to bill for this

@SpyderTracks you're like one of these Andrew Tate fans mate. Although there's more than enough that he is guilty people still believe he is innocent. Here mate, I'm attaching to you my entire email conversation with these clowns. You can see for yourself what I have to deal with. How 2 different people told me initially that I don't have to fill any documents and now it turns out I have to fill 3 documents. If this is not enough for you in terms of screenshots. no worries, i can screenshot older emails.

I’m issuing a second warning.

You’re not here for help, at no time have you asked us to help get in contact with PCS, nor to troubleshoot your system. You just came on looking for vengeance. That is not the way to get your needs met.

A rational person would state their issue, state they were stuck and frustrated, and then ask for guidance on anything they could do, or help if there something we could do.

We could have raised this with PCS last Thursday and it would have all been sorted.

All we have done is stated that, no, PCS are not scamming you and pointed out feedback ratings for the 2 companies. @Scott clearly laid our how you could approach this differently.

If you’d had this attitude with the company I work at, you would have been blocked on the system.

I’m issuing a second warning and I’ve deleted the emails as they contain personally identifiable information.

You're not coming across well at all though. Anyone reading this will see you as being hostile and incredibly obtuse to the situation. You're not doing yourself or any other customers any favours. Calling anyone a clown is completely deflamatory and against the rules.

You have another warning. I don't think it's going to make much odds as you seem hell bent on trying to start something here with no benefit at all to anyone. The forums are ran mostly by volunteers. Having a rant and making a noise isn't going to get your case sorted any quicker.

For me personally, the sooner you get your refund and leave the better. You're just a nuisance.

I did ask for help. I asked for information of where in the UK i could report PCS for what they are doing to me. Which is by far very unfair
