To be fair, I do have both the side panels off. Too lazy to put them back on. Gonna have to dust it now though so really my laziness just created more work...
I haven't opened mine up in a couple of months probably covered in dust. Plus having the 2 graphics cards running adds to the heat a lot. Top card is currently 52c. Used to be considerably lower when there wasn't another card and sound card.
Not in this case I don't think, this one is hardware related. I think you cold do with a water cooling upgrade, just use some putty to seal all the gaps in your case, or if in a hurry just put it in a bin bag. Then get a couple gallons of water and fill the case (or bag if you are in a hurry.) That should reduce the temps to a much more reasonable level. Obviously, if you are running an overclock make sure you have some ice in too.
Fire it up and it should never get above ambient, that is guaranteed.
if that fails, try a reinstallation of the OS. But seriously, that is my line!
