In need of some advise buying a new PC

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen.

Firstly Id like to thank everyone who sends advise to my query Its must appreciated..

I've never bought a high end PC in my life and I'm a bit lost in the jargon. Ive been quite happy with my HP Pavilion i5 for some time, the old girl has done well.
I haven't posted a spec as I'm not sure exactly what kind of system I need. Ive looked at quite a few in the forum but still im unsure.

My budget is around £2500, that will need to cover my monitor, tho I could squeeze the funds for a extra £250 if its really worth it, tho if its around £2500 mark that would be great.
Id like something that I could run DCS world on and city skylines, maybe even some of the other latest games like Cyber Punk ect.. Also I'd like to be able to use it for music production and run software like Ableton or similar software. I don't have any musical instruments right now but I may at a later date decided to use some. which sound card may I need. bearing in my mind I may not need that right away, perhaps I could upgrade to one when I know what I might want to plug in. I might also do some video editing and steaming with it also some designing software.. Basically I want something that's got some power and I wont have to worry, also in the years to come I can upgrade the parts. After reading a lot of information on this site I think its wise to go AMD, tho people in the known may advise me differently, I have no idea about best cooling or weather I need a 2nd storage for all these things to run smoothly. SDD HDD :/ Thanks again and sorry if this kind of question has been asked before. I just find with all the information available here I'm still a bit confused. x

Should be fine: they have very similar power deliver (12+2 on the Strix B550 vs 12+2 on the Tuf X570 and 12+4 on the Strix X570) and VRM cooling. The Strix B550 is a really good motherboard if you don't need all the PCIe gen 4 lanes X570 provides. Its audio, as @DarTon says, is particularly good.

Fully agree with the build, but good as the G5 (and it's really good value) is I'd want something a bit better for this budget. I'd go for an IPS panel like the LG 27GN850-B or, in an ideal world, the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD.

Hii All... Thanks for all your help.. Quite a bit of learning and understanding for me this evening..
Anyway heres what I've come up with. I just moved a few things around I thought might be useful. I like the idea of not running low on memory and having 12 cores I thought it would make things more stable, tho im still a bit unsure. I was tempted to add a DVD drive so I can burn CDs on it, yes im still old skool and do that. I stopped my self there otherwise i'll start adding things I have no need for but just sound interesting. Anyway many thanks

I'm just wondering about the power supply you selected. It suggested it was too much for this system but would I actually benefit from having more power when I need to upgrade later.

The reason for the power supply being rated at such a wattage is that the fans on it wont cut in till its running up close to capacity,so it will be nice and quiet and yes it gives good headroom for future GPU upgrades, "The Berserker in my signature runs the 1000W RMx

If you want to burn DVD's then get an external burner, adding one internally restricts you on case choice as very few cases have 5.25" bays in them these days, as it messes with airflow and cooling

Ahah I see, yes I will remove that - Would the same apply to a micro card reader as well

No the micro card reader just plugs in to usb like a normal thumb drive drive, you can just put normal size or micro sd cards in it.

This is fine it's the normal configuration that we recommend, the thinking is as follows:

The HDD is used for general storage
The 980 pro is used as the system drive and will result in really fast boot and load times
The 670p is used as your games drive, so should you ever have to reinstall windows you don't need to reinstall all your games
