inbox dot com

Hi guys,

Not strictly something that would come under the umbrella of PC building, but I thought i'd ask while I google etc.

Me mother has managed to get a toolbar installed on her laptop which relates to inbox dot com (with the .com bit obviosuly, but dont want to type it :D )

From past experience, and Google, this is clearly a nasty little thing that likes to set itself as your homepage, and not let you change it to something else, and of course slows you whole system down.

So, has anyone had any experience with this, and of course any input on removing the blighter?

Could have done without this tonight, but ah well.

Cheers

Thanks for the info Gorman.

Being the pro that I am, I have MB on a USB stick (that I dled on that laptop to run on this PC to remove something a month ago ><)

In the end, I have removed the toolbar using windows add/remove. I will await to see if it reappears, at which point it will clearly need a malware remover.

Mum's a fun arent they when they use 'puters!
