Hi all.

I'm getting cocky now after the success of adding an additional hard drive and would like to install the DVD burner from my previous pc. Only thing is it's IDE not SATA. Can I install it on my board? (ASUS® P7P55D-E: USB 3.0, SATA 6.0GB/s, CrossFireX™ SUPPORT)

Any help gratefully received. Ta.

According to the manual for your board, there's an IDE connector just above the Sata ports at the front. Just install the drive, connect the data lead and Molex power plug then boot-up and Windows should take care of installing drivers etc. Any problems just give us a shout.

Thanks for all your replies. As you've said, there is indeed an IDE connector on the board. All sorted now. I'll be applying for a job at PCS any day now!! :D

+ rep for you all.
