Hello,

I just both a new laptop and when I check for new updates in "Intel® Driver & Support Assistant" I have bene asked about "Installing this graphics driver from Intel will remove customizations from your computer manufacturer (OEM)" "If a newer graphics driver is available from your computer manufacturer, we recommend that you install that driver instead. To learn more about installing an Intel driver on your OEM system". My question is should I do this stept or just leave how it is.

I wouldn’t use the Intel updater, it can cause issues.

Just use optional updates in windows update

The thing about laptops, well, most laptops, is that the dGPU and iGPU work hand-in-hand, rather than separately, as in a desktop. Consequently the two drivers are typically customised to enable this type of cooperation. In addition, the two drivers are also often customised for battery-saving reasons.

The generic drivers from Intel/AMD/Nvidia do not contain these customisations and can (and do) cause all manner of problems, even BSODs. For this reason laptop owners should only install graphics drivers from the laptop vendor - that means PCS here.

The "Intel® Driver & Support Assistant" was installed from the beginning when o receive the laptop (I will say it is from PCS) and it pop up notification that there is few updates to do. I did some of them but this one that we are discussing here as SpyderTracks says I will not do.

Yeah, uninstall Intel Updater, you shouldn't use it on any system, causes more problems than it solves.

The screenshot is windows update, you need to go into optional updates for drivers.

NVidia is different, GeForce Experience is fine and works well. The graphics driver is the only one that has to be done via the manufacturers website, the rest are done by optional updates.
