What are you planning on using the PC for, it will help people make informed comments :)
Also what's your budget, as people may make some suggestions as to useful changes you could make.

With no idea what you're going to use it for the only things I'll suggest for the moment would be to get a Caviar Black drive as you hard drive instead of the bog standard one, because it will be speedier for booting and loading.
And change to the silver warranty, its only costs a fiver and extends the return and collect bit of it to a year.

16GB of RAM is a lot unless youre planning on doing stuff like rendering and high-end video editing, do you need that much?

Better case, lower ram (gaming?), caviar black (as Rakk suggested), triple copper heatpipe cpu cooler. I'd use the fast track money to improve the build.

I'd agree with the above. Also, I'd recommend homeplugs instead of a wireless card if possible. Otherwise, we really need to know your intended uses and budget before we can help much more!

I would get a better motherboard and change the PSU to a higher W, so you could SLI in the future since you are buying a nvidia card with a motherboard that only supports Xfire.
Again without your budget it is hard to make suggestions :p

Hi All,

Thanks for the great responses. My budget was to get a decent system under 1000.00. I will use it for typical office stuff and do some video editing. My 12 year old will no doubt test it for gaming.:tank:

It has been a while since I looked at a PC build and so many mother boards which I have no idea, the decision was based arounf getting a desktop as fast as I can as my other pc failed after many years of continual use.

Thanks for all the great suggestions.

I had to chose a smaller size monitor (24'') to be able to stay within your limit, for video editing (not sure what programme you use), the GT 640 is cuda enable but I'd go for a more powerful GPU if gaming is intended in this machine.
