I am experiencing very slow connectivity when im one floor above my router. My girlfriends laptop is an old rock model and runs fine, where as my new lappy struggles to maintain connection and gives poor download speeds. i run all the diagnostics and my signal strength is excellent etc so i just dont get it.
i have bt infinity running at 36 mb
im also using ESET smart security.


anyone got any ideas?

Ok i have found a solution to the problem. Went into the settings for my home hub and changed the router channels. Finally found one that operated at the same level as the wired connection. So apologies to all. Seems like the simple guy found the simple solution
