Internet Can't Connect

I got my new pc yesterday and its great but I cant connect to the internet.My signal isnt being picked up and i cant see it in the network panel.Thanks in advance

I presume you have a wireless network card - have you plugged in the aerial?

Heres my specs(the relevant ones) and i have my USB wirelsess adapter plugged in if thats what you mean

Motherboard ASUS® P8Z77-M: MICRO-ATX, USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs, ATI®CrossFireX
Modem NONE, I WILL BE USING BROADBAND
Network Facilities 10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT - AS STANDARD ON ALL PCs

Have you installed the correct drivers etc. for your usb wireless adapter?

Is the wireless adapter turned on?

Hmm il need to buy a new USB adapter because ive lost the install CD D: Il comment later if it helps me but thanks anyway

Have you considered homeplugs? You might be too far away from your router to get a signal with a wireless dongle (they are not as good as wireless cards I don't think)? Good luck!

Im 2ft away and dont get a signal lol.Il condsider that

Use a cable! If you are really close to your router just use an ethernet cable!
