Is it worth getting a matte screen for gaming?

Im hoping to purchase a Vortex II 17" in the next month or so. Is it worth paying an extra £80 for a matte screen instead of a glossy one? Obviously you get less glare with a matte one, but how much colour/brightness quality are you sacrificing? Thanks.

If you're going to be using it in a place where the sun is going to be shining directly onto the monitor then yes it's worth it, otherwise no it's probably not going to be worth it for you.
