I am looking for a new laptop for light office work. I will mainly be using it for browsing and connecting to my office via Citrix.
My concern is that with my current laptop, it is overheating with a very loud fan, and the youtube tutorials for fixing it seem beyond my capabilities.
So for this laptop, how easy would it be to:
- remove/clean the fan? On my HP Envy, there are many steps before I can access the fan.
- How easy would it be to re-apply thermal paste to the CPU? I'm aware that this would void the warranty, but I am considering what I will need to do in 3-5 years time.
Also, can Linux be installed on it? Or should I save myself the hassle and just get Windows?
