What software are you editing with?

What monitor are you gaming on? is it 1080p 60hz?
I’m not sure yet as I haven’t ordered I’m ordering soon just wanted to see if this pc will be fine , and at the moment 1080p 60hz but looking to get a 144hz monitor and obviously start making YouTube vids again I’d probably use Sony Vegas

What sort of budget for the monitor?

Asking as it helps to make sure the PC and monitor are a good match for each other.

So you should be able to get an appropriate monitor for that kind of budget. Especially in the ~£400 end of things, something 1440p, 144hz, with freesync or gsync.

The spec above has a fairly budget motherboard, and slow, single channel RAM.

Also the 9700 is probably not ideal for editing for the price.

That case looks like it will have issues with airflow.

Instead, something like:

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Eight Core CPU (3.6GHz-4.4GHz/36MB CACHE/AM4)

Cool. If you're only doing a bit of editing you could drop the CPU to the R5 3600. It's pretty similar to the 3700x in gaming and will be fine for video editing too.

Literally gonna use it for gaming mainly and edit videos whenever I make them.
Thanks

Also is it wise to upgrade the ssd to a Samsung 970 or will that one be fine

Then dropping to the R5 3600 is a good choice

That one's fine. A larger one would be ideal, if you were spending more money on the system.

Sorry to bother you again would it be wise to get extra case fans for this pc or will the 2 in front n 1 In the back be enough? Don’t mind spending the extra bit if it’s gonna be worth it in the future

I'd stick with the stock fans. MOAR FANS doesn't always help much / at all, and depending how they're configured can actually cause problems.

Adding a case fan is rather easy, so if you ever decide you want more, or want to bling the thing out in as many RGB fans as it will take, etc, doing so yourself in the future would be super easy :)

If you were going to add more fans to the order, the better choice would be to just get a better case with even better quality fans, rather than add more to a budget case. E.g. the Corsair 460X is a great case.

Okay cool I’ll stick with the stock for now
Rather be safe then sorry! Just don’t know if I should get a rgb strip in the pc I want it looking clean :)

Check this with someone who actually know something about it unlike me, but I think you can just turn it off with software if it's RGB.

I know you can do it with motherboard RGB effects so assume the same is possible for other RGB LEDs controlled by the same software.

I think the strip itself wouldn't normally be directly visible, you'd just see the light from it. Depends where PCS put it I guess.

Good advice. Fans as I've learnt (the hard way by wasting money) is that not only are all fans different, but then you need the right amount in the right configuration (push or pull) makes all the difference.

In essence, if you add more fans, you need to ensure you are actually getting more 'throughput' of air in/out the case and not appreciably increasing noise, something I'm sure this forum could help with when the time comes.

Yeah I’m going with the 460x Case I’m just wondering if I will need the two 120mm black fans at the top for the airflow or will the 3 in the front be enough don’t want it getting to hot to quickly
