Hey

What is the computer going to be used for? I am assuming mainly for gaming?

If so, there are some improvements that could be made.

Let us know what you will use the pc for and what your budget is and we will see what sort of a spec we can come up with :)

bg92's spec is an excellent one.

I would go with that if thats around your budget! Only possible suggestion might be an upgraded cpu cooler.

BG92's spec is very good. I would try to upgrade the cooler if possible, I would also try to upgrade the psu so that you are able to add another gpu in xfire later. I suggest getting homeplugs over a wifi card as well.

Well, currently, AMD are ahead of Nvidia with their 79xx series. However, nVidia are supposed to be releasing their 6xx series that is supposed to be a lot more powerful than AMD's 79xx series. I would try and get either a 7970 or a 7950 if you possibly can. I am surprised that the 580 beats the 7970 for skyrim, didn't expect that! Anyway, have a look at this spec, the 7970 is £70 more if you want.

that looks really good thanks! 2 x 200Mbps HomePlug AV - Create a Wired Network Using Electric Sockets! (£38) it that a router so i connect to a modem? sorry been using laptops for last 5years

That is a homeplug, basically they make a wired connection between a router and your pc by using your house wiring. One homeplug takes an ethernet cable from the router into itself and plugs into a main socket on the wall. The other has an ethernet cable between it and your pc and plugs into another plug in your house. They basically send internet signalls down your house's mains.

As it is an ethernet cable, the age of the wireless router shouldn't matter, unless you have extremely fast internet but I doubt it will be fast enough to cause problems that you wouldn't have already noticed.

for the case how do you decide which is best? would the coolmaster CM storm enforcer be better as it says it suppurts high end graphics cards and has a dust filter?

You look for cases that have good cooling and good cable management. You also need to make sure you like the look of the case as it will be the main thing you will see. If you are looking around that price range, I would recommend the coolermaster 690. It is a great case with excellent cable management.

ok iv decided to go with what you suggested with a few changes, are these ok; 650W instead of 750W the website said if i broght another 7950 and did the crossfire thing thats all i would need, inbuilt PCI wireless so i dont need to use 2 plug sockets as my bedroom has alot in there already, 2TB drive as its only £15 more, 1600MHz RAM as its only £10 more, HDMI lead as i will use a 1080p 22" tv for now, and finally a logitech mouse and keyboard. Thanks :)
