Issues with Keyboard/Mouse

Hold up, i bought a pc from pc specialist and everything went smoothly, i fired it up and keyboard and mouse combo wasn’t working, had batteries and everything. Let me try and replace the batteries but why would they not put it in or anything?

Why would they not put what in for example?​

There were batteries in with the keyboard / mouse - but it isn't working?

What keyboard/mouse did you get and have you plugged in the wireless dongle/thing that will have come with them?

They can be easy to mi9ss, Ive known them to be hidden in the battery compartment before now
