Ivy bridge to run hotter than Sandy bridge?

It seems there are strong indications that Ivy bridge will run hotter than Sandy bridge... Kind of makes you wonder why are some people waiting and eagerly expecting the Ivy bridge powered notebooks. Sure, their arrival will coincide with new Nvidia lineup, but surely one can order new 6xxm card with Sandy bridge CPU. I wonder if Optimus III will have Sandy bridge CPU option for some time?

Yup, but also it is a die shrink, so mathematically that should translate to increased heat of the CPU... Yes, it should consume less electricity and generate less heat, but because the heat will be dissipated over a smaller surface area, it will be hotter, ie. it will cool slower than Sandy bridge.
