Hello lovely people, I'm after a laptop that will be used mainly by my daughter who's an avid gamer and also by me sometimes.
I've been trying to configure (just to have an idea) and been at it for hours and when I think I've got the specs, I get confused with some of the technical jargon. On the plus side, I've learnt quite a lot googling and reading stuff but I really need help to narrow things down. It's just too much to decide what I need and don't need.
So it's for games, Roblox, minecraft and potentially heavy ones from Steam account but not ultra heavy (if that makes sense). She's not a "hardcore" gamer (yet) but a good laptop will help her become one. She's currently limited in what she can do with my old laptop.
I also need one that will play well and maintain its performance with a good android emulator and android games like wolf quest sim and all other sim games and android games.
This is the main thing I need plus every other laptop basic uses like blogging, streaming, images and documents, etc, so i have the following specs but I'll need help with more suitable ones please:
● 144hz 15.6 inch fhd
● Ntsc 72%(?) Never seen this before but I suppose 72 is better than 45?
● ?processor (Amd/Intel/?) - I know I need more than 3ghz right?
● 16gb ram (is one 16gb okay or two 8gb?) Or 32gb?
● 1tb harddrive
● ? SSD (how big/small and would it be just for os/game storage or as second drive?)
● Backlit keyboard.
● Nvidia rtx 2060 or gtx 1660ti?
● 180W ac adapter or 230w? Do I need one or two of this?
● Battery ?
What else please?
Budget is not more than £1500 (Though might do more for future proof). I've not gone past this with all my different configuration tries but I just want to know the right specs to get from well informed people in real time.
Thank you.
If I don't make much sense, please bear with me, I'm learning.
The configuration link. I dont mind starting afresh on a new and better laptop if you think it's best.
