Just built and played around with my first pc and would like some feedback on it and one question answered.

Its tough, prices arent looking like they will budge anytime soon, so given the current reality, yeah if I had that budget I'd be alright with it, but I'd also plan to save and buy a 1440p monitor and matching GPU prob within a year.

Before, would of been able to squeeze that in for £1400 :(
Yeah prices do not look like they will budge. I think i am going to for it, when you mean a matching gpu do you mean getting say a 2060 because i think i can just push that. It will only be 18 over 1.4k. Monitor I will save for.

for 1440P monitor you'd need something more like the 3060Ti or 6700xt

I would just like the confirmation that this is a good build for the budget of £1.4k

The overall cost including VAT comes to £1.407, I think I will go ahead and get it but I am just super paranoid that I might make a big mistake and could have got something much better for the same money.

It’s pretty much spot on. Suggestions would be to up the WiFi card to the AX200 as it’s faster and has Bluetooth connectivity. An 850w PSU would also ensure longevity, the RM version is the same cost as the 750w RMx you’ve got there 👍

Change wifi to AX as it has a BT and is dual-band.

Yes, so would the 1660 Super. The only real gain with a 2060 is (I think) raytracing.
To move into 1440p resolution would mean the step up, 3060 Ti, or 3070 or AMD's 6700XT, as @Martinr36 mentioned.

Oh thank you so much! Sadly I won't be able to get that wifi card because of budget but thanks for the suggestion. I don't think it will matter much because i'm going to be using an ethernet cable. Interesting, i will think about that! Yeah i think i will be buying this pc. 😀👍

If that’s the case, you can potentially drop the WiFi card altogether, saving £8 and coming in at a quid under budget...

This is the build (just picked a case i thought might be ok. )

As you’ve picked on this new config, the 4000D is a great case and one I’d recommend. If you’d rather some RGB you could look into the Corsair 220T or Cooler Master TD500 mesh.

On some other parts of your build, we don’t recommend the PCS coolers as longevity is a bit hit and miss, I’d swap it for the Cooler Master 240 AIO. Then, if you need WiFi, the AX200 is a must! Otherwise looks like a gooden.

Your other option is to find a case you like elsewhere and get PCS to build your system in it. I think you were looking at the Lian Li Liancool II? If you really wanted that one you could buy it on Amazon for £100-ish. The 4000D is a good option (though I think it looks much pretter in white).

I have the 220T and love it - it's like a box made of chicken wire when it comes to airflow as far as I am concerned. Plenty here though will advise that you could still do better than that though.

RGB has grown on me dramatically also - so if you're into Rainbow Wave like I am then it might keep you happy... :)

Omg thank you so much for letting me know about the cooler, i did not want the PCS one as i know about the problems. Originally i had the cooler master one! Wow thank you, i could have just ordered it with that.

And thanks for the advice on the case i wasn't really sure.
