I am looking round to purchase a new PC / Laptop, I have already left a possible spec on these forums and spent many hours browsing the forums and the pcspecalist web site.

Having read the KitGuru review on the pc specialists site of the above laptop on the 7th July 2012 with a price of £1249.00.

When follow the link from the Review page to look at the spec I needed to add the 7970M card, the Arctic thermal past and delivery, that brings it to £1452.00. Still not a bad buy at that price.

As this is the 9th July 2012 I just wondered where the price hike came about?

I believe it is a promotional price and if you make amendments you'll get a higher price than the one advertised.

Agreed, but surely not just to bring it up to the spec of the review, which was the graphics card, the delivery to me is £12 and if memory serves me the paste upgrade is £9 !

Yep I agree is a big difference but I think is more like a promotional price for the specification in the magazine/review, I can only assume that some laptops are already ready to dispatch with those specifications and any amendments would incur additional cost in terms of labour/time.

You are correct, when I click on the link to buy it is as it is priced in the review, when you click the configure link all is as the promotion laptop except the graphics card, as pcspecalist's delivery method will not deliver to where I stay they class two hours from the city of Glasgow as Scottish Highlands & Offshore Islands / N Ireland, I am always going to go into the configuration to add delivery, looks like promotional offers are out to me :-(

You may find if you give PCS a call on Monday, that they may be able to sort something out for you since the only change you need to make is the delivery options - though no guarantees.

Cheers Rakk, will do, may not be Monday though, still got a few things to think through before I purchase.
