Lafité bad wlan reception

My friends laptop has the same wlan card as mine, but gets a lot more wifi connections in the same place as mine. Is there any way I get the same reception as my friend?

Is it exactly the same laptop? If it is, you could try moving yours around the room to see if it can pick up the additional signals.

If they're different makes of laptop it could simply be down to antenna positioning in the laptop. Check that your wlan driver is up to date too.

I have exactly the same problem, wifi reception is very bad..

It's probably antenna than, as it's not the same laptop. But the difference is really big, I receive lets say 3 wifis, and friend receives 10.

It might be worth contacting PCS, it could be an iffy card?
