Lafité Pro Fan noise

Hi All

Few months ago I have bought a Lafité Pro and have been back and forth with PCS regarding fan noise....Basically no matter what mode selected fan sits most of the time on 41% around 3800 rpm with barely any load on the machine... This is really annoying as all I can hear is the fan...They keep telling me this is fine. Well...it is not as this is first and only laptop with such issue. I use few different laptops at work. Nothing I can change in BIOS as there is no performance options. Is there anything you guys could suggest to ease my pain? PCS is unable to help as keeps saying there is nothing wrong with laptop...Just need something to reduce the fan speed slightly as CPU temps are rather low so not an issue.

Thanks

Do you have a spec of your laptop? (I've posted my Lafite Pro 2 spec here: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/foru...2-underperforming-in-games.75583/#post-536919)

Have you installed the Clevo control center? If so, the fans kick in a lot earlier on the "Entertainment" and "Performance" profiles. Have you tried "Quiet" or "Power Saving"? they keep my fans much quieter when I want to be.
That's correct, control center is the only thing that will make your fans run quieter by changing the performance profiles. If you're changing the profiles and the fans are not changing the behaviour, then give it a try on the custom fan curve. If even that doesn't change the fans RPM, then there's something wrong with your control center installation.

It is not normal if the control centre is not changing anything either up or down.

Try uninstalling the control centre and reinstalling from your downloads section in the "My Account" section of the website.

Definitely not the only laptop with this issue. My new Initia has a lousy fan profile on CCC, the Honor Magocbook 14 has no software to control the fan, and now you talk of this one.

1. Download and install Clevo Control Center. If there's little fan profiling options there beyond offset, then go to 2.

2. Download and purchase Obsidian Fan Control. It's worth it.

On the Initia, the fan was kicking is at around 40c which is daft. Now with OFC, it runs around 20-25% and is close to silent.

Did that several times with different versions as per info pcs and still the same. The only thing that cc does is limits performance on quiet so badly that movies start to lag....
Still going back and forth with pcs about those issues. Without any success. Also started getting blue screens and few days ago noticed a dead pixel on the screen....Really the most expensive laptop I ever had and all this happening....unreal...

Thanks I will have a look into it. This is really annoying as when connected to charger and idling many times fan is taking off and cpu temps are over 70c sometimes even 80c.....
