LAN Ports.. (oops)

So i ordered a desktop, and accidentally didn't attach a wireless network PCI card. So its got a "ONBOARD 10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT". I was wondering if i brought a wireless USB device,would that give the computer WIFI?

Have you considered Homeplugs?
Read up about them here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HomePlug

Although slightly more expensive, they will give you a much more reliable and also faster connection

You could (and it would) there are other options though, as Wozza suggested homeplugs are a popular alternative to wireless in general and only require two free plug sockets (one near your router and one near the PC).

Of-course you could always get a PCI wireless card and install it yourself (shouldn't be too difficult - PCS will supply one to you if you wanted to get one from them for instance. They may however be cheaper elsewhere)

Which motherboard did u go for? Some of them have built in Wifi
