So Im looking for something to play HearthStone/might start playing LoL again.
Most of the time im playing flash games on Kong and then even on my current setup toshiba i-3 2750 , gt 630m everything just tend to lag.
Im looking for something which will let me lets say run HS in background and watch youtube freely without any certain freezes/lags.
The other thing im concerned is cooling system , so i would rather go for something which is not gonna spin 24/7 on 70 degrees.

What is your budget? Change the SSD as the V300s have performance issues, either the Hyper X or Samsung is fine. The Optimus has a better GPU, the GTX 960 and for gaming you want the best GPU you can afford.Do you have any external storage as 240GB is not a great amount these days, many of us here go for a 240, sometimes 120GB SSD for the OS and a few games and then a larger HDD, the WD Blacks are good, for storage.

I don't think i need better GPU i have only selected that one cause the cheaper one 940m was out of stock but i dont mind going for gtx but ill probably will never use its full potential.
Im not really into games , i do play HS occasionally and flash games on kongregate and that's about it.
I have had my toshiba for 4 years and im currently using 120gb out of 500gb considering that i haven't reinstalled windows for ages so most of it is cache'd rubbish.

Cooling/overheating wise is optimus and cosmus about the same?
Noise wise and etc. ?

I have no limits on the budget but i dont need top spec machine for 2k its just i dont play high spec games at all.
If i suddenly decide to play games again i can always buy a PC )

Cooling wise there is not really any difference, if you intend running any laptop for long periods I would recommend a cooling tray as it does help increase its life. For what you have said about your needs i would drop to an i5 CPU as it will do all you need.

So the only difference for cosmos and optimus , you can get better GPU on Optimus?
Would i benefit from getting i7 on this build or its really what ever ?

Thanks.

I would stick with the i5 and would also drop the RAM to 8GB as you will not need any more than that. The Optimus will be a better chassis quality being more expensive but don't think there much in it, you will have four USB3 ports on the Optimus, while there are only two and a USB2 on the Cosmos. The Optimus also has a fingerprint scanner, although I would not use one.

Any advisories? The computer will be barely used for low spec games once every other week.

I think the cosmos is less chunky than the optimus, I have the cosmos with the i7,16gb of ram and the 950m. The laptop copes with intermediate gaming, and is super quick for virtual machine usage, photoshop and lightroom. The cosmos is a no frills laptop in terms of design and features but is Lightning quick for what I require. If you want the light up keyboard and finger print scanner than go for the optimus, otherwise the cosmos is a great laptop.

I have the Samsung 250gb SSD in it and it seems to be very speedy, the boot times are ridiculous!

Cosmos has i5 or i7 , getting i7 would make a difference for my needs ?

It still fits in into £800

That is pretty much the spec I went for, I havnt git the dvd drive though as I will be adding a 750gb black drive and I added the second 8gb of ram myself as it worked out a fair but cheaper.

My laptop is super quick and is well set up for multi tasking and should easily be able to match your needs. Your setup looks a little bit overkill and I'm sure someone on here will help you reduce the cost and still meet your requirements.

I can say that the cosmos is a well put together laptop with a nice screen and keyboard. The system runs almost silently and stays cool enough to use it on your lap.

Well my budget can be upto 2k without any strain cause the money ill pay for the laptop is my weekly pay so i simply decided to get something decent and fast ( finally ).
Is there a point to get 500GB SSD instead of 2 HDD ? In 3 years i have 120gb in use on my current lap considering that its my main computer and i dont have PC. I mostly keep music and pictures , never kept any movies/TV and etc on my HDD.
