Going to America sometime next year to stay with my girlfriend, and wanted a laptop. Don't want to be playing GTA V in 4K Ultra or anything, just using it to watch videos and things on YouTube or streams on Twitch. Only game I will really be playing is Runescape, maybe I'll buy some when I'm there since I wont be able to play my Steam games (I assume). If I do buy a game it'll be, Euro truck sim 2 or Cities Skylines, and I'm happy with playing those on low settings to get a decent FPS of like 40-60 if the laptop can do it. Unless this is overkill, I have no clue about Laptops and the capabilities of the CPU or GPU's this was just a quick play around with the specs and I do need some advice.

While that will probably achieve what you're looking for, and noted your limited expectations for the system, it's worth bearing in mind - from a value point of view if nothing else - that an Optimus VIII would be about £60 more (~8% more expensive) and offer 2-3 times more gaming performance:

I was actually thinking about that one, despite it being over my budget I could just wait a little longer and save up for it no problem, just didn't think there was much need. And come to think of it, I'm probably going to use it more when I get back home and when I go back out to the US as well for another trip, if I can play more of a variety of games on it and with a decent FPS and settings it will be much better. I think I was kinda lying to myself when I said I'd be happy with low settings with like 40 FPS.

Thank you, I will mess with some other specs as well but I'll be keeping this one saved.

While I am here and have a thread open for a laptop, instead of creating a new thread I'll ask here; my dad is also wanting a laptop but wont be gaming on it at all, he just wants it to watch YouTube and listen to music on it without it being frustratingly slow. Budget is around £200 he doesn't really want to spend more than that, but might be willing to budge. I haven't really researched it at all on PCS as I'm unsure if they even do laptops that cheap. But just thought I'd ask.
