Want a laptop that will enable me to do some video editing away from base (have a desktop where I do most of my editing). What do people think of this spec? Thanks

Hi,

As you will no doubt be aware most video editing programs make use of the GPU to speed up render times and a better graphics chip is likely to benefit you. The significant factor is how occasionally you will do video editing away from base.

If you are using the laptop to demonstrate work to customers then a greater investment will probably pay for itself in terms of more business. If this is more of a hobby and money is an object that reasoning shouldn't be applied.

I will be using for business so want as good a spec as I can afford. Likely to use it a lot.

The graphics card you mention does look better. I've done a bit more research and played around with various options and the following is my latest quote. Its coming out at £1977, which is a little more than i wanted to pay (had around £1500 max in mind) but may be worth it. Grateful for any thoughts.
