Hi all just recieved my new laptop, is it normal for the GPU to be running all the time rather then using onboard graphics, I've switched to adaptive in the Nvidia control panel but still its using the RTX 2070 instead of the onboard graphics.

We love you Ukraine
Check the power settings applied in Game Center. May be on performance mode which will push everything to nvidia.

Why's the result not online validated? Did you use custom settings?

What's the text about "...by limiting the framerate?" Can you take a screenshot instead of a partial photo? Seeing all the results and text would be better.

But the good news is that this seems about the right ballpark for a 2070: https://www.kitguru.net/lifestyle/m...x-scar-ii-gl704gw-review-i7-8750h-rtx-2070/6/

Your graphics score is near-identical to this other laptop. Overall score is a bit lower (and only a bit - like 1.4%) and there are dozens of factors as to why that could be.

Bearing in mind these are different chassis, different test conditions, etc, your GPU is certainly performing exactly as you should expect it to.

It shouldn't do.. but it's not entirely unheard of for PCS to switch to a different screen model that happens to support it, sometimes only for a few units. Check the Nvidia control panel I guess and see what it says.

The only settings I changed in the control panel was setting it to performance just for the benchmark run.

It'll be in Nvidia Control Panel.

I'm not sure how it works for laptops. Maybe something like:

Or other things on google

I've had to install the Nvidia control panel myself as it never came on the laptop when I got it, the version I have hasn't got the option for G-Sync and also there's no option to choose which graphics I can use i.e. RTX 2070 or onboard.
